As their relationship started to blossom, they fought for the first time
together against the voice-stealing Gentlemen. However, it did take quite a long time for Willow to admit to her friends that
she had a new independant friend, and then partner. The result, Tara got a little angry and then they finally outted themselves
to the Scooby gang. Tara was immediately, even if at arms length, welcomed into the gang.
The first MAJOR relationship rift that Tara was confronted with
was Oz's return to profess his love for Willow. Fortunately Oz came to realize that the one he loved was the one
person that brought out the worst in him, thereby causing him to leave again--permanently. She was the first to realize
that Willow had developed a dependancy and addiction to magic. When she confronted her with this fact Willow used a
spell to make her forget the fight. Tara became extremely upset when Dawn helped her realize that it had happened.
The second time she tried it, after their agreement that she would quit using it for everyday things, it went terribly wrong
and just about cost the entire Scooby Gang their lives. This was the last straw for Tara who then broke up with Willow
and moved out of the house, having contact only with the others and none with Willow. Tara was the only one that Buffy
felt she could talk to about her Spike addiction, which Tara uses against Spike at every opportunity--"need some ice for that
cramp Spike?" Because of the strength that Willow showed in resisting the use of magic under pressure Tara resumed friendship
with her, but no more--for now.
Tara finally decided to resume the Full relationship with Willow only to
have a stray bullet come through the window behind her and kill her instantly, the morning after as they were getting ready
to go out.

The sometimes stammering and unsure Tara met Willow at a school Wicca meeting. Since Oz had just recently left UC Sunnydale,
Willow was free game and ready to explore some new interests. The two immediately hit it off due to their common interest
in witchcraft and casting spells. Apparently, Tara is the daughter of a very powerful witch who died when she was a child. Unbeknownst to Willow, Tara was also said (due to
a family myth) to transform into a demon while developing into a full-fledged (20 year-old) woman. Thankfully, for both parties,
that was just a lie told by the male members of Tara's family to keep the little witches in check, thanks to Spike for figuring
it out and proving it--causing himself pain in the process.
Warren, severly pissed with Buffy since she captured the other 2 members of his gang and thwarted his biggest scheme,
came into her backyard to kill her. She was standing there searching for more hidden cameras and discussing the events
of the night before with Xander when Warren came storming in to shoot her. He shot her once through the shoulder and
fired another shot over his shoulder as he ran away. It was the second shot that went through the 2nd story window and
killed the much beloved Tara.
You will be missed for both your Humanity and Humour, Tara. You brought an extra quality to the show that made
it more real to our world.
